MATXINBELTZENEA Hostel

The Matxinbeltzenea tourist hostel is a house that dates back to 1633 which was restored and turned into a hostel in 1991.

Lesaka, a small town located in the north of Navarre, has a beautiful town centre. It has 2 covered fronton courts, a swimming pool and a covered hydrothermal area, with parks and all kinds of services (shops, restaurants, a health centre and tourist office).

Located in the centre of Lesaka (2,600 inhabitants), in the Bidasoa Valley, the Matxinbeltzenea area offers you several options to enjoy your stay. Matxinbeltzenea is close to both the mountain and the sea, between Iparralde and Baztan.

Places you can get to in 30 minutes by car: Bertiz Natural Park, Leurtza Natural Area. Towards the sea: Hondarrabia, San Sebastian (Donostia), Hendaia and Biarritz on the shores of Cantabria.

Crossing point for the EuroVelo1-Ederbidea cycling route and GR-11 footpaths.

Facilities: Tourist Hostel (category 2): It has the capacity for 60 people, rooms with 4, 6 and 8 places in bunk beds, central heating and a multipurpose room. Possibility of cooking; exclusive customer terrace; bike storage; wi-fi in common areas. Animals and pets not allowed.

Suggested activities: In collaboration with other companies in the area: mountain bike rental and guides, adventure parks and water activities.
